PURE-WAY | Zero-Waste Food Innovation Project

PURE-WAY: Zero-Waste Food Innovation Project

Every year, nearly one-third of global food production is lost or wasted — a challenge we believe can be transformed into an opportunity.

The PURE-WAY project is dedicated to developing innovative zero-waste solutions for fruit and vegetable residues, turning them into high-value, sustainable products such as:
🍹 functional beverages
💄 cosmetics
🧪 bio-based green chemicals
🌾 environmentally friendly fertilizers

At the heart of PURE-WAY is the use of green extraction approaches, including Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES), enabling efficient valorization of bioactive compounds while fully embracing the principles of sustainability and circular economy. ♻️

Supported by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and European Union programmes, PURE-WAY aims to bridge science, innovation, and environmental responsibility — paving the way toward a cleaner, circular, and greener future. 💚
