PURE-WAY Project: Fermentation Research Underway at INRAE

As part of the mobility activities within the PURE-WAY project, PhD student Petar from the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade has started his secondment at our project partner institution, INRAE. 🔬 🧪

During his stay, Petar is working on the selection and application of bacterial strains for fermentation, a key step in the waste valorization process within the PURE-WAY project. Fermentation plays an essential role in maximizing the utilization of food waste and by-products, enabling enhanced recovery and bioactivity of valuable compounds, in line with the principles of circular economy and green chemistry. 🧫

We wish Petar a productive, inspiring, and successful secondment! 🍀 ♻️
