1. Chemical and biological evaluation of green extracts

Objectives:

  • Classify and select fruit and vegetable waste and by-products based on purpose
  • Develop a green extraction process
  • Select the most active NADES-based extracts

2. Fermentation of biomass after extraction

Objectives:

  • Establish a database of microbial strains
  • Select the most efficient microbial strains
  • Optimise SOP for production of bio-based products

3. Development of innovative smart and green composting system

Objectives:

  • Optimise balanced nutrient content
  • Optimise the green composting process

4. Development of functional beverages and natural cosmetics

Objectives:

  • Develop and upscale new functional beverages incorporating novel ingredients
  • Develop and upscale new cosmetic products incorporating functional extracts
  • Ensure the technical feasibility and regulatory compliance of the new products

5. Sustainability assessment of PURE-WAY systems and products

Increase the eco-efficiency of the PURE-WAY system.
